Office Furniture Collection Across London

A fully managed collection of surplus chairs and furniture from London workplaces. We handle access, lifts, out-of-hours working and the paperwork your building and finance team need — and where the stock carries resale value, you get paid for it.

A collection service built for managed buildings

Most of the difficulty in a furniture collection has nothing to do with the furniture. It is the loading bay booking, the goods lift permit, the dock time window and the list of conditions the landlord and building management attach to any works on the floor. We plan around those first, because that is what determines whether a collection runs cleanly or overruns.

RAMS, insurance certificates and operative details are supplied in advance so building management can sign the works off before anyone arrives. If your building requires inductions, permits to work, or named access lists, tell us early and we will work to that process rather than turning up and negotiating on the day.

Evening, overnight and weekend slots are standard for central London. Working outside occupied hours keeps disruption away from staff, avoids competing with deliveries for the dock, and is frequently the only window the building will grant for a large load.

What happens on the day

The team protects the route before anything moves — lift lobbies, corridors, door frames and lift interiors — and wraps items where they need it. Desks and bench runs are dismantled where required, storage is emptied and checked, and everything is loaded in a planned sequence so the floor clears steadily rather than in one congested rush.

When we are finished the floor is swept and clear and the protection is removed. You should be able to hand the space back, or move straight on to the next trade, without a second visit to tidy up after us.

You then receive a collection note itemising exactly what left the building, which is usually what finance needs to close off the asset write-off. A reuse and recycling summary is available on request, showing the proportion of stock diverted from landfill for your ESG and sustainability reporting.

Collection with value recovery built in

A plain removal contractor prices the job by volume and takes everything to the same place. The residual value of the furniture never enters the conversation, so a floor of good branded stock is treated exactly like a floor of broken flat-pack.

We assess resale value first. That changes the shape of the job: instead of an invoice at the end, a collection can finish with a payment to you, or at least with the value of the good stock reducing what the rest costs to clear.

For detail on what we look for, see our sell used office chairs and sell office furniture pages. Where an entire floor is being stripped out, our office clearance London service covers the whole job end to end.

Timing and coverage

Lead times for a standard collection are typically a few days from the point the offer is agreed, subject to the building granting a slot. Larger jobs are scheduled around the dock and lift availability, so the sooner we know the target date the more flexibility there is in booking it.

Phased collections are straightforward — floor by floor, or department by department, as a move progresses — and we handle multi-site programmes where the same stock specification is being cleared from several buildings on different dates.

We cover the City, Canary Wharf, the West End and the wider M25, along with the business parks and office campuses around the edge of London. If you are just outside that area, it is still worth asking; a large enough load usually travels.

FAQ

Office furniture collection — common questions

How quickly can you collect?

For standard collections we are usually on site within a few days of the offer being agreed. Where the building requires out-of-hours access we work to the slot the loading bay and goods lift allow, including evenings, overnight and weekends.

Do you provide RAMS and insurance documents?

Yes. Risk assessments, method statements, insurance certificates and operative details are supplied in advance so building management can sign the works off before the collection date.

Is the collection free?

Where the stock has resale value the collection is part of the purchase, so there is nothing to pay. Where it does not, we quote a clear fixed price for the removal, with any value recovered from the good items offset against that cost.

What paperwork do I get?

A collection note itemising exactly what left the building, which is normally what finance or the asset team needs for write-off records, plus a reuse and recycling summary on request for ESG reporting.
